Hi.
So yesterday I tried to use google translate, and couldn't get the interface working with my screen readers, so I wrote my own using their ajax API. If the original works in some way please let me know.
My own interface is Here if anyone wants it.
Malthe.

I use Google translate all the time and have never had a problem with it. Simply go to Google, then to Language Tools and then choose the type of translation you want (a block of text, an entire webpage). Each one has a separate conbination of edit and combo boxes. For a block of text, simply paste the text into the correct box, choose your from and to languages and hit enter. For a webpage, delete their http:// if you've just copied your page from the address bar. If you just want to type it in, then you could leave it there and start with www, assuming that the site has that in it's url. Then just do the same by choosing your from and to languages and hitting enter. In the first case, the text should show up under the boxes and in the second it might say translating. If it takes awhile and you're using Firefox, make sure to allow the script or whatever it is so that the webpage translation can continue. Hope that helps..

That's weird... It shows an intirely different interface for me. Mine is a sort of clickable element which doesn't work with anything, I'll go explore google a bit some more though, thanks

Ok now I found the interface you were talking about. It seems to show less languages though than if you call it through the API, no idea why that is.

I have no idea what an api is or how you got to the other interface. This is the only way I've ever known of doing it. Interesting.

Basically I wrote that interface, and just used google's ajax api to query the translation service
